• In this class, students will learn traditional techniques to pin and mount a variety of butterflies. All specimens and materials are included in the class cost including: four butterflies, an entomology spreading board, entomology pins, pinning tape, and a shadowbox frame for each student to work on and take home with them. Butterflies species will vary due to availability. Please note there is no photography, video, or audio recording allowed during class, but taking photos of your finished work and studio space is permitted at the end of the class.  All classes are BYOB if you like. Students age 13 and up are welcome to take classes, however those under age 18 must be dropped off by a parent or guardian. Parents, family members, etc who are not paid students are unable to remain in the studio during the class. 
 
• Those who are 15 minutes or later to the class will not be able to join the class. There are no refunds and no rescheduling for students who cancel, miss, or are too late to their class. There is a $50 rescheduling fee if you need to reschedule 48 hours or more before the class start time. See the “Reschedule a Class” option on our Class Sign Up page for more info. There are no exceptions to these policies. 
 
• Please note: All butterfly and moth classes are scheduled to occur on the same date as our taxidermy classes, with a half hour in-between classes, for those interested in taking both. No former experience is required. No harsh or dangerous chemicals are used. Everyone will be provided with gloves.
