Squirrel Taxidermy Class

All classes are held at Grace and Grit Flowers in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY 11222

 •In this taxidermy class, students will skin and mount their own squirrel. Each student will leave the class with their own finished taxidermy mount. Class cost includes all materials including pine squirrel, a professional squirrel mannequin form, glass eyes, a wood base, etc. A select amount of props will be provided free of charge by the instructor for those interested in anthropomorphizing their taxidermy (giving human characteristics/activities). Students may also bring their own props. There is no photography, video, or audio recording allowed during class, but taking photos of your finished work and the studio is permitted when the class is over.

 

•Those who are 15 minutes or later to their class will not be able to join the class and forfeit their seat. There are no refunds for classes and no rescheduling for students who cancel, miss, or are late to their class. There is a $50 rescheduling fee if you need to reschedule 48 hours or more before the class start time. See the “Reschedule a Class” option on our Class Sign Up page for more info. There are no exceptions to these policies. All classes are BYOB if you like. Students age 13 and up are welcome to join, however those under age 18 will need to be dropped off by a parent or guardian when arriving at the class. Parents, family members, etc who are not paid students are unable to remain in the studio during the class.

•No former experience is required. No harsh or dangerous chemicals are used. Everyone will be provided with gloves.
